Lebanese FM praises Egypt’s efforts to end regional escalation
Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah bou Habib has praised Egypt’s efforts to end escalation in South Lebanon, expressing hope for Egypt’s support to Lebanon during the coming phase.
In a press conference with Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty Tuesday, the Lebanese top diplomat said his country could not forget Egypt’s support for Lebanon during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in 2006 and during the Beirut Port explosion.
Bou Habib also appreciated Egypt’s support to the sovereignty and unity of Lebanon.
He accused Israel of ignoring the United Nation Security Council Resolutions and called for an immediate cessation of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The Lebanese foreign minister slammed Israeli plans to force the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank to leave their lands for Sinai and Jordan.
