Solar panels installed in Too-Moyun rural municipality to supply water from well

AKIPRESS.COM – Solar panels will be used in Too-Moyun rural municipality to supply water from the well.

Earlier, an engine powered by electricity was used to provide water from the well, which was a financial burden for the local budget, with electricity bill reaching 2,000 soms per day.

The official ceremony of commissioning took place on July 30 in Syrt village with governor’s office representatives, as well as representatives from Aravan district in attendance.

During the ceremony, it was noted that Too-Moyun is one of the hottest places in Kyrgyzstan where the issue of irrigation water supply always persists.

The installation of solar panels for the subsequent supply of electricity to the well was done as part of the ongoing efforts to adapt to climate change in Kyrgyzstan through the efficient use of natural resources and reduction of unnecessary water treatment.

Local residents say that earlier, they took water from ditches or even bought it.
