President Biden and Jordan’s King hold a phone call

Amman, July 26 (BNA): Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America, and His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan, held a phone call to discuss efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, according to official statements from both sides.


A White House statement indicated that President Biden informed HM King Abdullah about the ongoing preparations to increase humanitarian aid during the ceasefire period. They also discussed the reforms of the Palestinian Authority in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and ensuring it receives its due revenues.


The Royal Court of Jordan reported that HM King Abdullah and President Biden reviewed the serious developments in Gaza. HM King Abdullah reiterated the importance of the United States’ role in achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
