Three men drown in lake in northern Mongolia
AKIPRESS.COM – Three men aged between 24 and 45 drowned while swimming in a lake in northern Mongolia, the National Emergency Management Agency reported on Thursday.
“The incident occurred on Lake Khövsgöl, which is located in Khövsgöl province, on Wednesday afternoon. The bodies of three people were pulled out from a depth of four meters,” the official statement said.
The National Emergency Management Agency called on Mongolians to observe safety measures when swimming and boating.
74 people including 14 children have already drowned in Mongolia since the start of the swimming season.
