Egypt receives Tunisia’s “Human Solidarity” ship carrying aid to Gazans
The Tunisian “Human Solidarity” ship carrying 1,609 tons of food and medical aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, arrived at Damietta port on Thursday, reported the Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP)
President of the Tunisian Red Crescent, Abdel Latif Chabou said in statements to TAP that the ship, which left the port of Rades in Tunis on Monday, was laden with foodstuffs and medical supplies worth 12 million dinars for Palestinians in Gaza.
The humanitarian ship includes two ambulances, 4 mobile health care units, 19 water tanks, a dialysis unit, as well as medicines and blankets, Chabou added.
He stated the humanitarian aid will be moved into trucks to be delivered to Gaza via Rafah border crossing, in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
