Kyrgyzstan registers 58,300 newborn infants in 2024
AKIPRESS.COM – 58,300 newborn infants were registered in January-May 2024. This means 19.5 infants were registered per 1,000 people, according to the Department of Population and Civil Registration under the Ministry of Digital Development.
According to the National Statistics Committee, this figure was 18.4 in January-May 2023.
13,800 deaths have been recorded in the country since the beginning of this year, or 4.6 per 1,000 people (4.4 in January-May 2023).
Natural population growth amounted to 44,500 people, or 14.9 (14 in January-May 2023).
