Deputy National Security Adviser meets US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense
Colorado, July 18 (BNA): Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, led Bahrain’s delegation at the Defence Working Group (DWG) meeting, part of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) between Bahrain and the United States, held at the Pentagon.
The US side was headed by Daniel Shapiro, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for the Middle East.
Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Ali highlighted that the strategic partnerships between Bahrain and the United States stem from long standing historical ties, emphasising the importance of further advancing coordination and cooperation to more comprehensive levels.
He underscored the importance of the historic agreement, (C-SIPA), for enhancing cooperation in security, military, modern technology, trade, and investment, contributing to regional security and economic stability. He said the agreement reflected the commitment of both countries to bolstering regional security and stability.
The meeting covered several defence and strategic security issues, along with regional and international developments of common interest.
