71 illegal migrants rescued by Turkish authorities

Ankara, July 15 (BNA): Turkish Coast Guard teams rescued 71 illegal migrants in the Aegean Sea, west of the country.


According to a statement by the Coast Guard Command, as reported by the Anadolu Agency, the migrants were saved off the coast of Datça in Muğla province while aboard five rubber lifeboats.


The statement noted that the migrants, including 11 children, were handed over to the provincial migration authority.
