Afghan labour minister seeks Qatari investments, says chamber official

The meeting touched on economic and commercial relations between both countries and ways to enhance them, and the investment opportunities available in Afghanistan and sectors for cooperation between private sectors, including agriculture, food processing, and infrastructure.

Al-Kuwari praised the good relations between both countries, citing the Afghan community here and their contribution to the development of Qatar.

He noted that Qatari business owners are interested in learning about opportunities available in Afghanistan, especially in agriculture, mining, and food security.

He also affirmed the interest of both Qatar and Afghanistan Chamber to foster their co-operation to facilitate cooperation between the private sectors in both countries.

Omari said Afghanistan provides leading investment opportunities in sectors like agriculture and food processing, especially in fruits, saffron, pine nuts, raisins, and other agricultural products.

“Qatari investors are welcome to invest in Afghanistan and export products to other countries,” he said.
