Twice’s Dahyun in talks to star in Korean adaptation of You Are The Apple Of My Eye
Twice’s Dahyun has received an offer to star as the female lead in the Korean remake of the Taiwanese film, You Are The Apple Of My Eye.
News of Dahyun’s casting was first reported by Korean news outlet Xportsnews on Monday (May 13). Her agency JYP Entertainment later confirmed that she had received an offer for the film and is currently reviewing it.
You Are The Apple Of My Eye is a 2011 Taiwanese coming-of-age romance by Giddens Ko. It follows high school troublemaker Ko Ching Teng and popular model student Shen Chia Yi. Should Dahyun take up the role, she will play the character of Shen Chia Yi, who was portrayed by actress Michelle Chen in the original film.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Dahyun is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming sports film Sprint, starring alongside Ha Seok-jin and Lee Sin-young.
With that role, she will be the first member of Twice to act in a movie.
Meanwhile, Twice is set to release its fifth Japanese album Dive on Jul 17, and will be staging six special concert shows across Japan this July.
