Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan sign 15 bilateral documents

AKIPRESS.COM – Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed 15 bilateral documents following the talks held as part of the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Presidents signed the joint statement, resolution of the Supreme Interstate Council on further development of bilateral cooperation, resolution of the Supreme Interstate Council approving the provision of the Council of Foreign Ministers.

The following documents signed during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan:

  • Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on regime of Kazakh-Uzbek state border;

  • Protocol with amendments and additions into the protocol to the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on Kazakh-Uzbek border crossing points of September 4, 2006;

  • Protocol with amendments and additions to the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on international automobile transport dated March 20, 2006;

  • Action plan for cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the governments of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for 2024–2025;

  • Agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of agriculture;

  • Protocol of mutual understanding and cooperation between the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

  • Protocol on cooperation in regulation of natural monopolies between the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Committee for Development of Competition and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

  • Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of Health;

  • Protocol on cooperation between the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Committee for Development of Competition and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of competition policy;

  • Memorandum of understanding between the Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on establishment of the Kazakh-Uzbek Expert Council;

  • Agreement on mutual understanding between the Otandastar Foundation and the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

  • Practical Action Plan (“Roadmap”) on expansion of cooperation between Astana and Tashkent municipalities in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian Spheres for 2025-2026.
