Japan Finance Minister Suzuki: Will continue to take necessary steps for forex moves

TOKYO : Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said on Tuesday that the government would take all possible steps necessary to respond to currency moves, repeating his usual mantra that excessive swings were undesirable.
The dollar stood around 151.70 yen, near the highest since October 2022.
