Manchin, who chairs the Senate Energy Committee, raised concerns about reports Chinese battery companies are actively pursuing business opportunities to take advantage of the credits, adding U.S. tax credits “cannot be allowed to be hijacked by adversaries engaging in mineral laundering.”
