China is proactively assisting Philippine law enforcement agencies in rescuing abducted Chinese nationals in Manila, said the Chinese embassy in the Philippines on Friday.
As per a report, six Chinese citizens were kidnapped in an offshore gambling-related case this week. The embassy said the Chinese government cares about the safety of every Chinese citizen and firmly opposes any form of gambling activities.
In reminding Chinese citizens to stay away from online gambling, China also urges the Philippines to take effective measures to fully protect the lives and property of Chinese citizens in the Philippines.
