China’s central bank governor Pan Gongsheng meets with U.S. treasury secretary Janet Yellen

Pan Gongsheng, governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) and head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), on Friday met with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen during the International Monetary Fund/World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Marrakech, Morocco.

“They exchanged views on their respective domestic economic situations and the international economic and financial landscape, debt issues of developing countries, and the 16th General Review of Quotas. They also discussed issues related to the China-U.S. Financial Working Group,” the PBOC said in a statement.
