The United Auto Workers union announced the start of a strike at three U.S. factories – a General Motors assembly plant in Missouri, a Ford factory in Michigan and a Stellantis Jeep plant in Ohio – just after midnight on Friday.
“The UAW Stand Up Strike begins at all three of the Big Three,” the union said in a post on social media platform X.
