Pakistan Mango Festival Sweetens Chinese Consumers’ Taste Buds at China Eurasia Expo-2023

• Pakistan Mango Gala Held at China Eurasia Expo-2023 focusing on regional trade connectivity

Urumqi : Pakistan Mango Festival held at the China Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo-2023, with focus on trade promotion , on 17th August 2023 in Urumqi, capital city Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China.

The king of fruits from Pakistan was exhibited at the Pakistan pavilion set up at the expo which commenced from August 17 and will continue till 21, Commercial Counselor, Pakistan Embassy, Beijing, Ghulam Qadir said here on Wednesday.

Mango Festival was supported by the Ministry of Commerce through Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to explore the Chinese and central Asian markets.

Officials said Pakistani traders would get a great opportunity to market different kinds of mangoes and attract Chinese buyers during the expo.

The theme for the China Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo-2023 is “Promoting the Silk Road Spirit, Strengthening Eurasian Cooperation” and it covers an exhibition area of 70,000 square meters.

According to organizers seven international organizations are participating in the expo, and it has also attracted over 1,300 businesses from 40 countries and regions, including 25 of the world’s top 500 companies, according to the organizers of the event.

Moreover, a total of 33 trade and investment promotional event and activities will take place during the five-day event. On the sidelines of the expo, there will also be forums on topics such as regional economic cooperation.

The (China) Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo has been held three times since 2015, drawing over 3,700 businesses from 47 countries and regions to participate.

According to the Chinese media, the China-Eurasia Goods Trade Fair is an important part of the China-Eurasia Fair and is expected to contribute to accelerating the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt in the Eurasian region.

The Secretariat of the China-Eurasia Fair is jointly organized by the Foreign Trade Development Administration of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
